Hungarian Folk Singing Classes | Songs of Sárköz and surroundings)

Join us for Hungarian folk singing classes held in English!

These are fun, in-depth classes with gorgeous songs, detailed background information, and great people from around the world. The classes are held in English and open to participants of all backgrounds, no previous experience required. Songs are taught directly from village source recordings, and the class includes pronunciation and translation of the song words.

This 6-week series will focus on Sárköz and nearby areas in southern Hungary along the Danube. There are three class times, all covering the same material:

Mondays In-Person at the Óbuda Folk Music School (Budapest)
March 10 – April 14, 6:00-7:30pm

Tuesdays on Zoom — join from anywhere!!
March 11 – April 15, 9:00-10:30am Budapest time
March 11 – April 15, 7:00-8:30pm Budapest time (10am West Coast time, 1pm East Coast time in the U.S.)
