The Cserga band is playing in Vienna again and invites you to a special folk dance evening! Moldavian Csángó music will be played, there will be circle dancing, and this time we invite you to come in costume!
The Hungarian-speaking Moldavian Csángó ethnic group lives east of the Carpathian Mountains, in present-day Romania. Their traditional Hungarian music features both medieval melodies and influences from the Balkans. Their dances are predominantly circle and couple dances, with simple, repetitive steps.
